Hi,

1)Stored procedure is an Predefined Collection of SQL Statements.
2)Its Precompiled Execution
3)Reduce the Client server NetWork Traffic
4)more number of Sql statement can execute single store procedure
5)Easy to Error Handling
6)Reusability
7) sp have input and output parameters

create procedure sp_test
@empid
as
select * from emp where empid=@empid

Hope this will help
