Hi Sathish,

Its straight forward and it depends based on your project. If your project is static or dynamic and its has a DB server or not. So once you are done with your software requirements then you need to check for your hardware requirements like in which server the project should run, and what bandwidth the project should have.

So once you are done with all the software and hardware requirements you check for many third party site which provides the option for hosting the site and registration of the domain name. This step requires some level of expert becoz the site you gng to select is the one which should have a positive review from thr previous customers.

Once u are done with Domain and Web-space registration, the site owners will be sending you the ftp, login credentials and site space details to your mail id. after that you can configure your website with that.

NOTE -- Selection of domain and website should be done from a reputated Web-space provider else the project will be in trouble

Let me know in case of any other information's required.

Thanks
Karthik

Hi,

As far as I know, there is no free service provider for the asp.net enabled server. You can find many free servers with PHP, MySQL etc.
But the server with MSSQL and ASP.NET ( .NetFramework) enabled is not free as far as I know.

For the ASP.NET 3.5 you need to have a 2008 server OS or the .NetFramework 3.5 installed in it.

Hi Sathya,

Open the IIS7.

Navigate to the Default Web Site Node, then right click on it and choose "Add Application" from the context menu. A dialog box will pop up as shown below. The alias is the name of your website, for example if you enter MySite, when accessing your website from your local computer, you will be typing "localhost/MySite.

Click on the "Physical path:" button to browse for the website folder of your application and click on the "OK" button.

A new node with the name you entered in the alias textbox will appear under the "Default Web Site" node.

You can similarly add a WebSite instead of a application. For this you need to just create a website instead of a application.

Please feel free to contact for any concern!!

Hello Sathish,

http://somee.com is only free ASP.NET Hosting Provider that is serving. But this has much more limitations, like Ads on bottom page. Low Disk Space (150mb). Your domain allowed. Have a look at
http://store.johnbhatt.com/ How ads appear.

Hello Sivaiah Thota,

Yesterday, while I was searching for Hosting Providers, I have found a great service provider and that is From South India which is providing Unlimited Windows/Linux hosting even cheaper than Domain Names.

http://www.hostrivers.com

They cost per year 799.00 INR.
You guys check and revert.
