Hello everyone,

Is there any way that we can share sessions between two asp.net web applications hosted on different server.

I need this to implement Single Sign-On. Can anybody suggest any idea or resource for this to go through.

Thanks.

Kind Regards,
Jay

Yes, you can do this.

Read about Single-sign on here http://www.dotnetfunda.com/articles/article979-aspnet-authentication-and-authorization-.aspx.

You need to specify the same SessionState validation key in both the application and store Outproc session.

Session sharing is possible by using various desktop sharing services such as webex.com, gomeetnow.com, gotomeeting.com etc.

Use form authentication and machine key to implement the SSO.
Session wil passed to another another using cookies, based on the cookie values you can get the particalr session.

Refer this site to implement SSO,
