I am not sure if we have set method in ASP.NET, If you mean set method in C#, it is used to set the value of the property.

Post method of the Web Form is used to post the web form data on the server. When you post the data using Post method, data is not visible to the user when the form is posted.

Get method is also used to post the data on the server, but when posted the web form data is appended as the querystring in the url and sent to the server so data is visible to the user.
