Installing Visual studio problem

I want 2 run .exe file (Window form application in C#) in Window xp sp2 but by default xp does not have .net environment so it is not working .....I tried to install dotNetFx35setup.exe file for .net environment ....but its is giving an error and asking for full 3.5 .net environment ...I just want 2 install .net environment not the whole IDE ..........help pls
