IE Developer Toolbar & WebControl.Enabled

 I just came across this for the first time today, I have been using the IE Developer Toolbar for quite some time.
My example is a webform where I have a standard TextBox control. It doesn't matter if Enabled is set inline or in code:
<asp:TextBox ID="TextBox1" runat="server" Enabled="false" Text="1" />
 In my browser, the above control is rendered as (more or less):
<input type="text" name="TextBox1" ID="TextBox1"< ...
