Send email to selected GridView contacts

Using this code I am essentially trying to allow the logged in user to log a brand new transaction but having the ability to assign different members also. For example lets say you ordered a pizza that night for your friends and they all owe you 10 bucks each. You would then login to the site, add a new transaction titled pizza order. You would then right 60 dollars for the pizza cost, and then select each member from the gridview list who was there that night. The below code gets the email address of the selected contact displayed on the Gridview1 and assigns that email to the String contactEmail
