I've designed a form with a masterpage that has a weird rendering issue in IE7. Basically I'm using a Panel with grouping text which creates a fieldset/legend inside of a div. Insdide of this, if I use em tags, p/span tags with font-style italic, the first line of the italic text has a line through it. This happens if I use ANY doctype. If I remove the doctype, it renders without the line in it. However I much prefer specifying doctypes. Does anyone know if this is a known IE7 bug, or is this how it should render? Only the first line of italic text after a legend has this effect.
It renders as I expect for IE6, FF2/3, Opera, etc. Does anyone know of a fancy css workaround for this? I've attached an example showing the bug I see. I tested this on multiple computers, hopefully it isn't a browser setting causing this. Thank you for your time. Any help is appreciated.
