Programmatically write HTML tags to a page

I need to be able to create a page's content programmatically.

I note that I can programmatically create controls and some HTML tags like:

Dim vButton As New HtmlInputButton()
vButton.ID = "Submit"
vButton.Value = "Press me"
Controls.Add(vButton)

But how do I programmatically create, for example, a div tag like:

<div class="abc"></div>

Your help would be much appreciated.
