I am confused with the roles part a bit....
In my project I've created a few folders which are accessible by different roles.I have written a separate code to authenticate the users who login. Depending on some conditions I want to assign roles to the users. Basically what I am doing is if login of user(which validates uid, pwd) is successful I am assigning role=1,2,3,4 etc. depending on some other conditions.
So I want the users to access the folders depending on the role I assign.
How can I authenticate these roles with the ones I specified in web.config file?
Remember I am not using the Role class here, these roles are manually assigned using a string. I just want the user to access the files depending on the roles given to him.
Is there any way that I can directly check the condition of roles and allow users to access specific files?
