I created a web app that can edit the html of files. However for it to work ASP.NET must have read-write access to the file. Normally this is a simple enough problem to solve but my web hosting provider refuses to change the permission of the files inside my website's root folder. I have tried various methods of changing the file permisions myself without success. Now I am thinking of using an ftp connection. Since I can read and write files on my web site using an ftp client I should be able to read and write files from code behind if I use an ftp connection?
Can this be done using FtpWebRequest or is there a better class/interface?
Any alternative advice is also welcome.
Thank You in advance
