Currently I am trying to user the AspNetActiveDirectoryMembershipProvider for an internet app the will set in our DMZ. When the app is hosted inside our network everything works fine but when on the server in our DMZ it si not working.
I have checked that LDAP is allowed through the firewall and I have even allowed all traffic from the DMZ in. I have even created a small page using DirectoryServices and I am able to query the AD using the above connection but the membership provider always fails.
This is the error I am getting:
The specified domain or server could not be contacted.
