i've read that collections are not thread safe but i realized it only now what it means by simultaneously adding items to a collection :
i was adding items to an hahstable inside an event, while the same event was fired a second time and the resulting hashtable was a mix of elements inserted during the first event and the second .
I googled about it and found out that in .net there isn't a thread safe collection: collectionbase, generics, arraylist, hash and so on are all unsafe.
Please tell me i'm wrong and give me the name of a thread safe collection that don't need to be sincronyzed in order to be thread safe.
Please don't tell me to use syncRoot or any kind of lock because i can't tell my user:
congratulation you are the customer number 1000 requiring an object please have a shower while we dequeue your request
