Did the Singleton designe pattern allow multiple access to database?

Hi everybody, i want to know if the Singleton design patter allow multiple access to Database?In fact, i have a server/multiclients application. My server is charged to insert/update the databaseand in the same time my differents clients make requests to database that are executed by theserver.I used the design pattern singleton but when i excute my application, i saw so many differents errors message like: "The reader is all ready opende" Or "Error in the internal connexion" Or"Cannot change the connexion string"So i was thinking that the pb is with the simutaneous access to the database and is related to the use of the singleton.
