I tried to search for this in the threads but could not find anything substantial. The problme is as follows.
I am migrating a website from classic asp to asp.net. Since we already have login control, create user qizard and menbership / rolse provider, I thought it would be a better way to quickly build the login functionality. I have the following specific requirements. But I am not sure how to do it using login control.
when the user registers, in addition to the user id pwd, I would also want to store additional info like, address, ph numbers etc.when the user registers, the user is inactive initially. I have control over the admin panel so I will activate the user from there. When I activate the user, a email with a link is sent and the user will be able to log in to the website only after he clicks this link.any help in implementing this functionality would be much appreciated.
