Hope someone can be of help, this is my first time using vbscipt/asp and im having a bit of a nightmare.
I'm trying to create a voting form for my website, i have a simple html form created with 4 different data fields (band/name/email/phone). I have managed to set it up, so the form data input by the user is written to the designated table in my .mdb database and have javascript validation enabled on the html form.
But, i also would like server-side validation for the band/name/email fields just to be safe, and really need to implement a system, whereby the users email address is cross-checked to the data already in the database table before the data is inserted and blocked from voting (with a message) if they have done so already.
