Hi there, I wonder if anyone can link me to a certain how to videos tutorial. I think it was by Joe Stagner but not sure, and in involved datagrid and asp.net forms.
One of the main points he covered was being able to "select" an item from the gridview control which was populated with items from a datasource then then user was taken to a url with a details view of the selected item, where it could be updated, edited etc. The trick was to take the selected item as a parameter which was used to show the item in the details view. So it involved two pages, one page had a gridview and the other had a details view, I'm sure you have it by now
I think it only invloved about one line of code in order to make it work, most of the work was done with just dragging objects onto the poage and doing some configuration.
