This is a corrected description of a problem I am having. I marked the previous *confusing* post as resolved and said I would re-post correctly :=(
When a user on my website tries to recover their password using the Password Recovery facility that comes with the membership bits, they enter their username and then answer the password security question they had provided when they first signed up with the site. On submitting the form, which should result in an email being sent to them they get the following error:

Mailbox unavailable. The server response was: <theiremail@theirplace.com> No such user herewhere theiremail@theirplace.com is the email address they have in the database. It is as if the system thinks they should be registered as a mail user of mywebsite.
That is the address to which the password recovery facility should be sending the password recovery email to -- there is no reason that email address should be registered ...

Go to the complete details ...
