Profile.UserName encoded

I have multiple pages and sqldatasources where I am using the Profile.Name to retrieve records. It works fine in the local sql test server but, when deployed to the MSSQL 2005 server it is encoding the Profile.UserName (which is being stored properly) and,  therefore NONE of my pages is working. 
I need some advise to prevent the server encoding the UserName when retrieved.
