 Hi All,
I would like to integrate the standard membership provider into my application, but i'm having some trouble deciding how to implement it with people (not users) within my application.  The users and the non-users are held in a single common table (PEOPLE) for fields about each person (almost like managing memberships where the users add members that cannot sign in).  Once I add the membership provider to my system is uses the uniqueidentifier as the userid.  I don't really want to use the userId all through out my app code, so at this point i've decided to add the membership userid to my PEOPLE table.  Accessing the roles as needed.  Would this work, or is this just plain dumb?  I usually role my own authentication/authorization system, so using the providers is new to me.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks,
Zam
