update querry

have a table1. whose columns are colum1(int) ,column2(text) and column3(int). i write the querry below.
update table1 set column3= 1 where column= button6.text
i write this code for button1_click event. nw i want to update database table when the text of column2 = text of button. and i put value '1' in colum3.
