I have an ASP.NET application where I have a WCF svc service hosted within the application it self.  The svc is configured with aspNetCompatibilityEnabled, and all works fine until I deploy it to IIS.

I deployed the ASP.NET application to IIS 6, where I have two websites, say http://server:8081 and http://server:8082.  8081 is configured as Windows Authentication only, and 8082 is configured as Basic Authentication only, both point at the same ASP.NET application and service and therein lies my problem.

Hitting 8081 initially I get the error "Security settings for this service require Anonymous Authentication but it is not enabled for the IIS application that hosts this service."  To fix this, I added the following binding config:

<bindings>
<webHttpBinding>
