zoom in and zoom out

hi,

I've inserted many pictures in my website. now i want to give zoom in and zoom out facility to the user.i mean he clicks on a particular image, a new window will open with bigger image size and there should be zoom in and zoom out options. it would be better, if pointer changes into zoom in function.

what do you suggest, how can i implement this functionality?

regards
