Greetings community,
I'm trying to avoid as many exceptions as possible in process of making .NET windows forms app. In order to do that, I want to see if desired instance is running, and if desired database is attached to it, before I even activate connection string to that database.
I found that I could easily enumerate working SQL server instances using SqlDataSourceEnumerator from System.Data.Sql.
Now when I know that my SQL server instance is running, how can I enumerate attached databases? I'm not really interested about system or report databases, just "user" databases. I believe I should search in some system database, or use one of those system functions or procedures, but I don't have a clue which one. Forgive me for beginner's question, but I'm a beginner.
Thanks for any help.
