I'm trying to create a web frontend (my first attempt at asp.net code, or any web development for that matter.) to a series of scripts. The execution time of the scripts can take several minutes in total so I want to be able to show the results as the various scripts complete. Problem is the page is only updated when all of the tasks are completed. I'm using the following as test code:

System.Threading.Thread.Sleep(5000)
lblMessage1.Text = "Operation 1 complete."
System.Threading.Thread.Sleep(5000)
lblMessage2.Text = "Operation 2 complete."
System.Threading.Thread.Sleep(5000)
lblMessage3.Text = "Operation 3 complete"

This results in all 3 labels being populated and displayed after 15 seconds which is not what I want. Obviously there is something I'm missing but I'm not really sure what to look for. Can someone point ...
