Membership logout control

Hello,

I've notice in one of my applications a user can click on the logout control and he or she is redirected back to the login page. This is exactly what should happen, however if the user clicks on the browser's back button, then the user can get back into the application, therefore the user is not really logged out! 

Why is this so? How can I change this?
