500 internal server error, failed to execute url - When making an async call

Hi Everyone,

Been searching for the answer on the internet for the past 4 hours. This is what I am doing and the environment that I am working in:

Environment:

Vista Home

IIS 6.0

ASP.NET 2.0


What I am trying to do:

I am just making a simple async call to a page method that i have defined in the default.aspx, I just wanted to see if it works well with master page.

Here is the ajax call using jquery:
