I have an asp.net 3.5 web application that also involves SQL Server integration services 2008. I need to centralize code that both ASP.net and SSIS will call or use.
I am new to web services and tried calling "common code" from both "apps". It works. The code that they call does databse updates, deletes and inserts etc.
Is there any downside to using web services to execute common code?
Is there any other alternatives?
