Alright, I have a weird issue that I can't seem to figure out. I have a line of code on a master page that gets the logged on username (btw, I'm using windows auth on our corporate intranet site). In my development enviroment it works fine. However, when it is tried from the the actual server, it will not get the username of the logged on user the first time the page is accessed. However, if you click on a link to get to another page (which uses the same master page), it will pull the username. I'm thinking that it is a problem on the web server, but I haven't been able to put my finger on it because all the settings in IIS look fine to me. I have tried firing the code from the Page_Load and also Page_PreRender. Thank you in advance!
