My requirement is to add 3DES encryption to our web service. The data transfered accross the wire should be encrypted using 3DES. I haven't done any encrypted communication so I do not know. Does the client have to encrypt all data explicitly before calling the web service method (i.e. encrypt the string "Josh" before calling the method ReturnString(string name)) and the server will decrypt the parameter when it receives the data?
