I just got a book on C# and it is very interesting, but I am afraid that it is not what I am looking for. I need, quite fast I must admit, a website with the following features: 1) Normal Content place with sharing buttons; 2) Catalog Directory, only one category needed; 3) Guestbook; 4) That is a bid odd. I type a word in google and get some results. I would like to have something like robot that collects all the results and shows their content on my homepage. Its like Google news, but simplier. It would be nice, to have a feature for me to approve these links, I do not want everything on my page.
So that is what I need. I am a marketer (and had good idea of HTML, CSS, Wordpress and Joomla, bit of php) and have one week to build this website. Do you think that is realistic? Should I use a CMS and if so, which one ? Where should I start C# or VB? This is a kind of contest and I thought I would have a great advantage using the microsoft products, am I wright?
