Maybe this forum is reading by the ASP.NET team's PM, because my question is directly to him, or maybe someone else can answer it. There is demonstration of the integrated CSS Sprites engine on the PDC09 conference (video called "FT18 - Microsoft ASPNET Futures") directly in the ASP.NET Framework (there was MVC sample). We have already ASP.NET 4.0 now and looks like that this feature still do not exists. The question is - why? If I'm right, the project is called Sprite and Image Optimization Framework (http://aspnet.codeplex.com/releases/view/50869) and this is not a part of ASP.NET framework (we need to install additional DLLs and there are another code syntax and architecture than in the PDC09 demo). So, we just lost time for some parts of PDC09?
