HttpContext.Current.User.Identity.Name

Hi All,
I have a doubt in Form authentication. After logged in we can retrieve username value from HttpContext.Current.User.Identity.Name isn't it. Where the HttpContext.Current.User.Identity.Name will store the value.. in cookie? or ???..
