How can make the encryption running from client side

Hi,
I've created a web site with membership and I used hash algorithm with salt to encrypted password which is in .cs page (C# source page) like example below, and then save it in SQL database..
My questions: Is there is a way to call encryption method in client side "by call the encryption methode from serverside to encrypt password then send it to server side to verfiy " rather than sending unencrypted password to server side then doing encryption on it??? How can do this??? Can you explain for my example?
