Hi i have made a corporate intranet site, it is currently only bein used by IT staff at the moment though. What i would like is that on page load it pings a server and if it gets a negative reply it opens up a cached page, but if it gets a positive reply it will open up my intranet (it is too big to cache really). Does anyone have any suggestions, i messed about and created a ping tool the other day but not sure how to implement this within VWD 2008 and VB so that it pings a server and from that ping makes a decision as to what to do.
