Im doing an https post of text/xml to an outside domain and returning the same. I have a ASP.NET 3.5 project using VS 2008 which is set up to use the "File System" as the debugger even though I have the site saved in my wwwroot folder. When I debug the project using the file system it works fine including the https post functionality. However when I hit the site via http://localhost the site works as intended until I try to make that https post outside the building which fails to connect. We do have a corporate proxy/firewall but that doesn't explain, at least I don't think, why I'm able to connect when debugging using the File System.
