hope this is the right forum for this question, I have an access 2000 based program currently that uses ado not ado.net, to send data to a sql2005 database, i used a vb code that gets the data then sends the data to a sp on the sql server 2005 to update records.   What I am thinking with all this new sql 2005 features, would it be possiable to send the raw data up to the sql server 2005 as a table.  Then execute a vb code assembly or dll, on the server end to go thru the newly imported data to update the records from that table eather directly or thru the existing sp that I connected to using access. This would eliminate the need to have a pc running access for each of the 100k records and the time and delay of the internet access, plus I am thinking having this process run on the sql it would update faster. What i am looking for here is some advice if this is the way you would go or if there is another way that ...
