Hello,
If I want to create a new file into a folder within my aspx server code, I guess the user that needs the rights to create files in folder is the one set in Thread.CurrentPrincipal. Is it always right?
If I attach a code for creating a file into a folder in the following httpaplication events, is it always the user in Thread.CurrentPrincipal the one who need the rights to create the file?
BeginRequest
AuthenticateRequest
PostAuthenticateRequest
AuthorizeRequestP>
PostAuthorizeRequest
...
EndRequest
And the last question...
I believe HttpContect.Current.User is syncronized with Thread.CurrentPrincipal at some point on the http pipeline. So when a aspx page handler executes the two properties have the same value. It seems it is recomended to use HttpContext.Current.User instead of Thread.CurrentPrincipal. Anyone knows the reason?
