Expanding the create user wizard

Hello,


I'm trying to expand the create user wizard to get the users address, city, state, zip and phone number.
I've made all the fields required and when you enter info into the fields it enters everything into the database as it should. But the required field validation doesn't catch my added fields - only the standard create user fields are validated.
Also, the RegEx validation for the phone number doesn't want to fire on error either yet the zip code RegEx works. Now, my first thought was that the RegEx was incorrect but it's just using the canned expression from the validation tools.

What am I missing?
