hi,
I created a page for display my own windows services installed in the system. That page displays the service display name and status in the grid view and also showed one button to start ot stop the service according to the status
All working nicely. But when i click start button i got the error as follows
{"Cannot open Service1 service on computer '.'."}
and the inner exception is "{"Access is denied"} .
I found that this is security issues and got one solution as <identity impersonate="true"> in web.config. But even i added this tag and specify "Windows Ingrated Authetication" in the security tab of my virutal directory in IIS, i cant resolve the issue. I am working in Windows XP.
What mistake i did? and also i want to know any security hole happned if i go ahead with imepersation and also any other method for this issue?
