I'm building an application using VS 2008 and SQL Server Express 2008 R2.  Both are working fine for my current needs.
I now have occasion to want to deploy the application and the DB remotely.  I do have an ASP.net GoDaddy account so thought I'd try it on there.  However, I've run into immediate problems about how to get the DB from my computer to the GoDaddy server.  Reading numerous articles it seems the general consensus is to use the old Database Publishing Wizard (DPW).  But then I read this.  I did go to the trouble of trying to install the DPW.  It ran but did fail to connect to SQL Server Express 2008 R2.
So I'm not clear now what to do.  Has anyone with similar specs as mine had any success transferring a DB to GoDaddy and using it?  If so, how did you do it?
Robert
