I have a masterpage which is used by a lot of .aspx pages. In that masterpage, there is a menu control and some other icons. What i am trying to do here is whenever the user clicks on submit button, while its saving the data, the page should be deactivated. Since I am using the master page, it would be best to put the code in the master page. We tried to put the ajax loader icon but sometimes, it doesn't get displayed or its too small for the user to notice it. At often times, it has taken more than 40 seconds to save the data and the user not realizing that the data is not saved, they click on different links on the page and gets an error. What is the best way to deactivate a page whenever the user clicks on the save button or if something is storing data to the database? Thanks!
