FindControl on dynamically created table rows

Hi. I have a regular HTML table created in the code with 5 rows. There is also a button a user can click to Add a row. There are 5 cells inside each row. Inside each cell is either a textbox or a dropdownlist. My questions is this. When I submitted my form with just 5 rows I was using the FindControl method to get the control inside each cell and then retrieved the data inside the control. My understanding is that FindControl can't be used on dynamically created objects? Is there a simple way for me to go about accessing the controls in the dynamic rows? When I use Firebug the dynamically created controls are set to the correct ID, FindControl simply isn't finding them.
