HtmlDecode not working properly

Hi all,
I want to make some text in bold and display in a grid. So I do the following, in text decode..



HttpUtility.HtmlDecode("<strong>") + "My text" + HttpUtility.HtmlDecode("</strong>");
But it didn't bold the text, if change it something like this,
HttpUtility.HtmlDecode("<&copy;>") + "My text" ;

it display the correct symbol...

any idea why it happen, where I'm going wrong? Comments really valued...
