Add event to a user control

Hi,
I try to add a new event to a old custom user control. The current user control set his textbox to readonly. But i would like to add a events to have the possibility to set readonly to false. here is what i try to do.
Private _changeReadOnly as Boolean Public Property setReadOnly() Get return _chnageReadOnly End Get Set(ByVal value as Boolean) if value Then txtMyTextBox.ReadOnly = False Else txtMyTextBox.ReadOnly = True End If End Set End Property  
But, if i try to set my event in my aspx page, looks like don't see my new event. I add my event like this as other Event in my user control.
 <uc1:TextBox ID="txtThatBox" setReadOnly=True></uc1:TextBox>
But i have no intellisense for my setReadOnly, like if i have no event named like this. Does i need to compile the custum control? I need to do something?
