Part of the draw for me using Silverlight was that I could use C#
even though my web host was using a Linux box. Before everything I wrote had to be in PHP or Ruby on Rails. I thought platform independent that is great, but this is MS so what is the catch?? Well perhaps I have
found it. Because I do not have a windows server I can't host a web service to do my data access for me unless I write it in PHP, and
honestly I wouldn't know where to start building a webserive in PHP. I only know how to add [Web Method] in Studio because MS has spoiled me :P.

originally thought I would just use XML for small amounts of data
storage, but because Sivlerlight has such limited support for XML
(you can only load your XmlReader using a relative URL only!! I really think this has to be a bug!) I really don't know what else to do for Data
Access.
