I am using sqlcmd to execute a SQL script. After execution the database with tables and data are created.
However special characters like ß, ö, ä and ü are lost during sqlcmd execution.
My sqlcmd command looks like this:
sqlcmd -U user -P password -S LOCALHOST\\SQLEXPRESS -i script
I tried the following with no use:
- My script was created by VS2010. I changed the collation to German 1031 CI
- I converted the script file to Unicode and UTF8 before running sqlcmd on it
