I am currently working on a project that requires users the ability to comment and attach files to a 'workplace injury claim'. Basically I have a table set up for comments/attachments, with a varbinary field holding the attachment data.
I want to display a list of comments at the bottom of the claim, much like you see at the bottom of most blogs, but with the additional option of attaching a SINGLE file to each comment. Users should be able to download the attachments via a link at the end of each comment that contains an attachment. I was trying to achieve this by creating a link for each attachment, with it's ID property set to the NoteID of the note it belongs to. This link would pass the NoteID to a Hidden Field form element, then initiate a postback to run the code to download the attachment.
