tried to install SQL Server Express Management Studio, had problem with Visual Studio 2008 need SP1.
unfortunately IO have VS 2010 on a new Win 7 pro. NO VS 2008. I found some registry hacks and chnaged to SP1.
It installed. Could not see the database engine een though I have an instance seems to be running I believe installed with VS 2010. By the way before installing the management studio I installed SP1 for 2010 and SP2 for SQL. This is just
crazy. I unisntalled my new intance after inatlling that and management studio cannot see any SQL instances. any ideas
