I am using SQL server 2008 enterprise to backup databases on SQL express 2005. These are two different servers on the same domain.
I created a maintenance plan as Backup-> History CLean up-> Maintenance clean up. I want to create an Notify operator task if these actions fail. But while creating notify operator when I select sql sxpress server in the connection (I already
created connection) it says "there are no operators with this email address on this server". ofcourse as this is sql express and I can not create email or operators. Can I??
If I select SQL server 2008 as the connection it is not sending notifications when a job fails. My question is, can I use sql 2008 enterprise connection, operators to send notificaitons when sql express backup job fails.
